DHUWA Co Founders (L-R) Peter Patisteas, Chris Togias, Shawn Andrews and Adam Williams

Griffiths Bros Coffee Roasters together with First Nation people Shawn Andrews and Adam Williams have teamed up to bring you the perfect cup of coffee.

Shawn Andrews is a descendant of the Mununjali people of Southeast Queensland and the Palawa people of Tasmania. Adam Williams is a Wiradjuri man who grew up on Darug land and now resides in Quandamooka country. Griffiths Bros Coffee Roasters have been roasting coffee on Wurundjeri Country since 1879. Peter Patisteas and Chris Togias are Australian-born with migrant parents, and second-generation coffee roasters.

This partnership pairs the oldest culture in the world with Australia’s oldest coffee roaster to deliver premium coffee with a conscience to home baristas.

DHUWA (pronounced dee:wah and meaning to feel alive in Bidjara language) – is Australia’s Indigenous-owned coffee brand, we’ve made to start sharing conversations with non-Indigenous Australians. We believe a great cup of coffee connects us as we share stories, build bonds, and nourish relationships. We call it ‘reconciliation in a cup’.

DHUWA celebrates diversity, is a proud equal opportunity employer and committed to Indigenous representation.

Our green initiatives are future focused on the environmental and economic health of the coffee industry. By minimising our environmental impact we maximise our social impact, creating economic sustainability for our coffee growers.
